Congratulations to Nathan Shin for winning the WVSO Vaughan Fellowship
for 2012. Nathan Shin and Philip Nichols were both Finalists for the
prestigious fellowship.

Week of January 18:

1. Pizza, sausage, and cheese orders are due on TUESDAY. Checks are payable to SCHS. There will be no orders placed without pre-payment. We need a parent volunteer to help with the delivery. The salesperson will divide the orders by school. Therefore, I need one parent per school to watch the orders during the pickup times. Delivery is expected the week ending 2/5/12.

2. WVU Honors Orchestra students will be selected. Students wishing to participate must notify Mrs. Tan and will need to play at least one three-octave scale, plus a musical excerpt of Mrs. Tan's choosing.

Friday, January 27 SCORCH Rehearsal at Capital HS 3:45-5.

February 1, 2012 2nd/Final Payment for trip of $165 (if you depsosited $125) is due today. Checks to SCHS. Please contact Mrs. Tan immediately if you need a different timeline.

I would like to thank all the parent volunteers for making this first semester so smooth. Your help with rehearsals, fundraisers, communications, photos, and general organization are most appreciated by me!
